Price is certainly an important factor when deciding on which laptop you are looking to buy.  Primarily focusing your shopping regarding only price may not be the best way to go about it.  There are cheap new laptops available but many of which may or may not suit your needs.

You must consider what you are going to use the laptop for first before you decide which brand or model to buy.  Some cheap new laptops may come built with only one processor and limited memory and gaming capabilities.  But if you are only going to use it for browsing the web and/or other small tasks, then there are plenty of cheap laptops to choose from.  However, if you plan on using the laptop to multi-task and need it to perform better and faster than what a single processor allows, you may have to splurge and spend more money on a dual processor machine that is more built to offer extra functions.

Today though, more than ever, companies are offering great deals on cheap new laptops that are proven to deliver.  Wal-Mart and Best-Buy both are offering very capable and powerful laptops for just a few hundred dollars.  It just goes to show how competition and new computer companies can really start to lower prices.

Even though these cheap new laptops deliver plenty of goods for the price, they are still limited in many areas.  They are not going to have great graphics cards for extensive game play, but many of them have decent graphics for some game play.  You are not going to get a 17 inch screen on a laptop that cost $200, but you may get a 13 inch screen which doesn’t look bad at all.  You may not get 4GB of memory but you can get 2GB for a low price.

So you see that you do have options and that over time, these companies are just going to keep on offering more for a fewer price.  If you are not going to use it for anything specific and just want a quality computer, these cheap new laptops will be absolutely perfect for you.

It always best to go into the stores and test drive them yourself.  Talk to someone there or bring someone with you who really know his or her computers.  This will help ensure that you do end up getting a computer that is best for you and for your money.
